Default Cheap FreeFloat

Well all my parts finally arrived from USA - in drips and drabs as every order must be below USD100.

Tonight I removed my plastic hand grip using hand grip removal tool.

I had a hard time removing my muzzle brake (being red threadlocked - but a bit of elbow grease got it sorted).

Removing the clamp on gas block was easy - but removing the roll pin was harder.

The Barrel Nut was TIGHT - removed easily enough using my M16/AR15 armourers tool.

The freefloat came with the correct barrel nut so all I needed was the 0.750" low profile gas block.

The M16/AR15 armourers tool did not fit the new barrel nut to I improvised - got it on tight (1 hole past hand tight) with the gas tube running smoothly through it.

Reinstall new gas block - insert roll pin, install muzzle brake - all done.

Our rifle range is closed for renovations until end of February, so will have to post a range report after it is open to see accuracy is improved. I'm hoping .5" groups now that pressure variations on the barrel will be negated.

sharp shooting...
