Just got my M&P10LE from Bud's gun shop today. Was a LOT discouraged to find that not only was the front Magpul MOE Handguard not installed correctly, but the Magpul MOE pistol grip didn't fit correctly either; but not because it was installed wrong, it just flat out doesn't fit.

BTW, I replaced it with a Hogue Monogrip with the finger grooves, and it fits snug up to the bottom of the receiver like it should. Does Magpul not ensure their products fit before calling it good and selling it?

I have the same LE version as you and my handguards fit perfectly. However, my pistol grip is just like yours and unfortunately, I think all the MOE pistol grips fit up this way on the M&P10. It doesn't bug me TOO much, especially since this bad boy shot less than MOA right out of the box.

Did you get the Hogue with the Beaver tail? If so, I will have to ditch the MOE.

Hogue Monogrip 15020. Fits perfectly and less than $25 bucks.

Did the grip have the extra spring hole for the M&P 10? Me likey!

No, it only has one spring hole for the Safe/Fire lever. There is an additional spring that will come out if your not careful and that's for the rear takedown pin. Be careful of that spring. I lost the brass detent pin that stops the takedown pin from falling out when you slide it from left to right. Fortunately, I found the brass detent pin on the carpet and put it back into the weapon.

"Thank you for contacting us. With the grip because it was installed on an AR10 platform that kind of gap will be normal with any of our AR15/M4 grips, for AR10s that run an SR25 back strap cutout we make the MIAD 1.1 type 2 as that has the taller beaver tail to match the taller receiver that SR25 have."

My Reply.

Thank you for the info on the correct pistol grip. I've sent a link for that grip to S&W and hopefully future models of this weapon have the right grip installed. https://www.magpul.com/products/miad®-gen-1-1-grip-kit-–-type-2

I like the Mako/FAB defense AGR-43 grips best on any AR-15 or AR-10.Aggresive texture and finger grooves.

I recently installed the MIAD 1.1 type 2 on my Big Smith and it fits like it should.

BTW, this is not a new "problem". All original MOE grips will leave that space on LR308/SR25 pattern rifles.

I really like the MIAD, but I also like MOE grips on my AR15 rifles.

+One on the MIAD, that is what I used, I personally don't care for the beavertail AR grips, don't see a need for them and they're ugly. What problem are the supposed to solve. Recoil is going to be in your shoulder not in your hand.
