Default Hand Guard Questions

I am looking for a light and inexpensive hand-guard for my M&P 10. I very much like the Magpul MOE hand-guards but they seem to be exclusively for the AR 15. Are any of them M&P 10 compatible or is there a good equivalent out there?

I have read that the Magpul mid-length will work but may require some alteration and will sometimes break. Is this so?

The magpul mid works fine, if a tight fit. Best if you have one of the little lock ring holder tools and slap/knock the two pieces into place!

Magpul AR15 mid-length MOE hand guard fits perfectly. It's snug but fits. The delta ring tool helps a lot but 2 people can easily maneuver the MOE hand guard halves into place.

I have recently installed the Diamondhead USA VRS T-308L free-float hand guard.

Nice. I see you have rapid transition sights. I use them also though I have the thin barrel version and I'm a little worried I may have to cut the flanges on the front. I guess I can pick up a short rail for the top if they don't clear.

Shouldn't have cut or modify anything to get the MOE hand guard to fit regardless of the barrel differences.
