M&P10 Trigger Replacement Issues
Hi all,
I purchased a new to me m&p10 today. I’ve done quite a bit of research on the proprietary bits, and I understand the trigger can be replaced with any Ar15 trigger.
After bringing home the rifle I decided to replace the stock trigger with a larue mbt2s curved bow trigger I had in another rifle for some time. Well when the safety is installed and on the fire position, the trigger will not release. I have tired the stock s&w safety, a battle arms development safety, and a mil spec safety with the same results. It does not matter if the grip is installed or not, the trigger will not release the hammer.
I then tired another larue mbt2s flat bow trigger. This trigger would not even function, even without a safety installed in the lower! The curved bow at least would function without the safety installed
Has anyone ran into any issues running aftermarket triggers in their m&p10s, particularly the larue mbt series? I’ve had both of these triggers for a year or two now and they’ve been nothing but great in other lowers.

I installed a Larue MBT flat in my M&P 10 and have had no issues. I purchased the rifle about mid-way through 2019.

Something isn't right. Did the OEM trigger have any issues?
My stock trigger and my Geisse work just fine.
Are the springs setup like this?
Right way and wrong way for hammer spring installation.

If it's a small pin trigger, it should.

There are those who feel anti-walk pins are best utilized with drop-in triggers: that the original design (with grooves) was purposefully intended to position the springs & retain the pins, allegedly because the pins were designed to rotate a bit every time..?
Just a comment which may be relevant to the above...
Cheers!

I have a Larue MBT flat that functions flawlessly. Took a bit of fiddling to get it in with the ambi controls, but all fit in great and was a wonderful upgrade.

Just be sure, the mbt-2s hammer is also installed with spring in correct orientation right?
Not to offend but the mbt-2s does not function with a standard AR hammer.
Also, does the factory trigger work fine when you put it back in?
