I have a new M&P15-T and have been admiring the low prices of ammo like brown bear. at about 22c a round. I know there are issues with these "lacquered steel case" rounds... has anyone used these on a S&W MP-15 and what have your results been. Any guidance will be much appreciated!
PS: my mp15-22 sure helps bring down the cost/round of a day at the range!
The problems related with steel cases usually have nothing to do with the lacquer coating. It has more to do with the fact that the steel case expands and contracts in the chamber much differently than a brass case, which leads to more chamber fouling.
Keep the chamber clean and you should be good to go.
