Hey Dan... just in case you missed it... take a look at the accessory threads and picture threads here. Do a quick inventory of what you see hanging from those quad rails. There is a freaking gold mine for a salesman who doesn't play games.

Will give Dan a chance here. There's between 500 and 1,000 people signed onto these forums at any given time. Any salesman worth a flip won't make himself look like a dork over a couple ball caps. Hey Dan?

Ummmm...I was disappointed. I was lied to by Botach when I placed my order for an item...(they did not have it in stock - but said they did so they could take the order and charge my credit card). They then took their time refunding it.
When Dan appeared on Sig Forum...he said he would solve the issue. I took him up on it....called in my credit card to their phone line for the order..told the person about the situation....then nothing. Sent several emails to Dan....none were replied to. Then posted again on Sig Forum about my experience...to which Dan replied. I was then told they couldn't do anything. Geeeee Dan....why is the item listed in your online catalog now????? It was listed online when you said you couldn't do anything as well.

Hmmmmmmmm......................................somehow the letters F.R.A.U.D. come to mind

Unhappy? Send your story to [email protected]. Then watch the heat come down on these guys.
Also, before dealing with an online retailer, check them out on ripoffreport.com. A two second search got me these results. Quite a few complaints.

why bother with an unreliable vendor? i've never ordered from botach but based on the comments here, i never will.
i order a lot from midway usa. the prices are fair. the service is great.
i just placed an order monday morning. the order confirmation i received by email came about 10 minutes after clicking on submit. it said my products would arrive tomorrow. they showed up yesterday. so far, i've ordered from miday 3 times. twice my order arrived ahead of schedule. the third time it was right on time.
i've learned that customer service is worth a few bucks, not to mention their selection is phenomenal.
hell, when they are out of stock, they will email you when the product is available so you don't have to buy and wait...and wait...and wait, all the while your credit card has been charged.

Yup.
Anyway, Botach had better just settle up with these gentlemen and call it even before things get messy.

Hey Dan at BoTach.... cat got your keyboard?
Sending 10 ball caps to the guys here won't cost nearly as much as not sending. A good salesman knows this.

I also like Midway's "Wish List". I put items in the Wish List that I will eventually need but not right away (typically reloading components) When an item in the Wish List goes on sale Midway sends an e-mail.

nice touch! ive kinda given up on sourcing mags online, but my local guy has them for $29. A little overpriced, but theyre in stock! however, i do need a vert grip and covers. I think Im going Larue index clips for that tho.
lol.. botach 'had' falcon ladder style covers for 2.95 for a 18 slot. I called to check if the were in stock, and was told "i have no way of knowing". then the prices went up a few days later..

A few weeks ago I was googling for ladders and the Falcons with the low price displayed. I clicked on the link and it took me to BoTach. I quickly hit the red X in the upper right hand corner of my screen.
I think you'll like Larue Index Clips.

Man, they have the best price on a pair of Steiner binoculars I want. But it's not worth the "savings" if there is no guarantee you'll get them in the first place.

Botach Tactical needs to be renamed Botox Tactical... as that is what they do best... paralyze your behind waiting for them to deliver on your order.
Ordered a CAA collasable stock, flashlight rail mount for my AR-15... about 30 mins after I submitted the order I get an email saying my order has shipped, then 2 months of total BS being told the item was on back order from CAA. I eventually received what I ordered and consider myself to be among lucky few.
I think the reason why they are so quick on the draw to send notice that the order has been shipped is so they can go ahead and charge your credit card, which is exactly what was done to me... that is borderline, if not actual illegal to do.
They can't have it both ways, an item can't be stated as being shipped and my credit card charged and then be on back order at the same time... when I finally thought to mention that in the last of many calls placed to them and stated that I'm filing a complaint with the FTC... my order arrives Fed-Ex 2nd day air. Yeah... I guess that was just a "coincidence".
Like others have said... no way I'll do business with them again and I'll discourage as many people as I can from falling prey to their unscrupulous business practices.

Really Dan
Why are the Sig 556 stocks showing on your online catalog when you told me you didn't have them???
tht was after your customer service people told me they had them, charged my credit card, and then never shipped.....
Sorry Dan...but Botach has **** for a name and reputation

I researched this company online last year before I was going to order from them. Glad I did...found many complaints about their products, service, and returns. Stay away.

I know I'll get flamed but here we go:
I ordered from Botach back mid Sep09 - some strange shipping stuff (shipping invoice printed/cancelled - but still showed shipped) got billed almost immediately - but I got my item within a couple days of another site I ordered another from (an RX30 mount) - total 3 weeks iirc.
So I bought my son a S&W M&P15-22, need the RX-30 now. So I ordered from Botach last week - still not showing as in-process or shipped. I however, do not need this item until May - so I will leave the order and see what happens and will advise.

I found this thread aboud Botach the day after I ordered my 15-22 from them... I was pretty scared, especially since that was my second try after the first place I ordered it from had "lost" my order. Botach did charge my credit card right away, but they also listed a serial # on my status page which gave me hope. Shortly after that they gave me tracking info, and I am able to verify with UPS that it is enroute. I should have it tomorrow, and unless it is defective or the wrong rifle, I will consider this a positive Botach experience. It will be 7 days order to doorstep.

I sent an email to Dan asking if he would send me some promotional goodies for my order. He responded right away, but said he would include them in my "next order". Oh well.

Wife just texted me, my order from Botach was delivered today. That was a lot quicker ordering from Dan than from their site.

A followup to my post#86 in this thread
I emailed Dan on 03/31/10 at 4:30PM EST and got a response about noon the next day.
He told me it was out of stock and had been for some time. There was a shipment due in the next week or two so I could wait, cancel or substitute items.
So, in the afternoon while going through my e-mail I got a ship notification.
It just arrived today (Trijicon RX30) and it looks fine (just like the other one I got from my local Gun shop).
That's my story. Would I order from Botach again yes, but only if it was something I didn't need for awhile. I wouldn't order a BCG while my AR was down for example. However, if I was doing a build and needed say a Trijicon ACOG, sure I'd order from them.

Moron of the Month nomination!
I would respectfully nominate myself for "Moron of the Month" for June, 2010!
When I was looking for new duty boots, I googled the Bates model that I wanted. Cheapest was an outfit called Botach.
Botach? Botach? Where have I heard that name before? I've never been too good w/ search functions and did not find this thread until, it appears, it was too late.
Anyhow, I order the boots, a Blackhawk double mag case, a super GG&G Claymore mine hitch cover (you oughta see them), and a couple 15-22 mags and some other stuff.
I ordered online on 5/30/10 and got an order number. Yesterday, I tried to call and see the order status since I never got the email confirmation that was promised. No answer. Finally, I called and left a message after several calls w/ no answer. No reply.
Today, I finally got through on their "live" help after no one answered the phone. As it turns out, the boots will be drop shipped, the mags are on back order and she "had no idea of the status" of the rest of the order. She did opine that the boots would be 2-3 weeks but she had no way of knowing. (I wonder where the guess came from and I wonder if "Carol" was really in Carjackistan, or somewhere)
Apparently, nothing is in stock. Do these people have a retail outlet or is all their stuff drop shipped from various suppliers?
That's rhetorical-don't beat me up for it. I will call the bank tomorrow and see if they can stop payment on the credit card. They have not yet charged it but I'd like to stop this before it gets really fubar'd.
Anyone ever get the promised hats?

My 2c....I wouldn't order again from Botach with their bait'n'switch tactics. I only ordered once....they gave me a UPS number that never ever shipped. No communication from them, I eventually managed to cancel my order.
Some people get lucky with them, but thats exactly it - lucky. There are far too many internet horror stories around to ignore....just not worth saving a buck or two.

Just type in a g -search for them and your computer about explodes, plus half the junk they sell come in plain bag with no instructions,so I question its origins.Ive had to fit alot of it and much of it doesnt fit right.Ordered lights from them once they sent a different light ,others were backordered, least I got something, and that was it. I ordered from Botach because of the cheaper price. I did some research shortly after to see where the products were going to be shipping from and found a similar post to this just filled with complaints. I did receive my products after about a week. Like others here, UPS number didn't show up til day after I got the products but I guess I was one of the lucky ones. I will continue to take the safe road and not order there again.

Botach
Moron of the month reporting in:
No return calls after the promises to do so. I finally did get in and talked to a nearly English speaking person whom informed me that she, in fact, had canceled my order upon my request. She could not, however, provide me w/ a cancellation number. She promised she would call back w/ one and would forward the request to the "cancellation department" and they would email me the number. I'm still waiting................ Oh, yeah, all the management was in a meeting or were busy and could not take my call but they would certainly return my call.
It seems that I am a lot dumber than even my wife thinks I am.
Does anyone really know if they have a real business? The way I have it pictured is some fat guy sitting in his underwear at his kitchen table playing on his computer. When the phone rings, he answers it and then orders from a reputable company and has them drop ship it. No rent, taxes, warehouse, storage problems, or customer service. This is becoming the new American way!

Hello all,
I would like to clarify a few points. Many of the negative feedback you see on the forums such as these come from a handful of unhappy customers.
The truth is, we process hundreds of orders daily, and are well-respected within the law enforcement and military community.
We are working hard to improve and recalibrate our customer service sector--we want to ensure good customer service to go along with the best pricing.
