Default New AR-15 BUIS sight system on the market

I just had a new style BUIS sight put on my S&W M&P AR-15 flat top, but a bit of a story about it first. Last year I was at the range and a fellow showed up and looked familuar, turned out he was the son of a gun shop owner that I really liked and had passed away a number of years ago. We got reaqainted and he has a shop that produces custom muzzell loader barrels. Anyhoo he had a AR-15 that had a unfamiluar BUIS sight set on it and I checked it out and was very interested in it and asked were he got it, he replyed that he had made it himself and this was the prototypes first range visit. Well he zeroed it in and asked if I wanted to try it and I did and told him when he gets it into production I want the first one! What makes this BUIS unique is that it is mounted on a 45 degree angle off the side of the reciever and if your electronic sight or scope fails you simply rotate the rifle 45 degrees to use the iron sights with no fussing with flipping up BUIS co-witnessed sights or removeing the scope. These sights do fold but Im going to leave em up. I use a EoTech on mine and dident like the clutter of co-witnessed BUIS sights and this set up cured all that.

Now I dont have anything in this but wanted to share this neat new system and have included a link to his new web site that has better pics and such that I can do here. Keller Sight Co. - Home

Very informative video. Looks like some good quality work. He should offer those for the 15-22 also.

Talked to Scott tonite and mentioned the 15-22 to him. Seeing as the 15-22 is slightly smaller than a regular 15 that might pose a problem and a completely new front sight mount would have to be made as there is no gas block on these little beasties. However he did ask to borrow my 15-22 to look the situation over. I wouldent hold my breath though as even as he might do it, it takes quite a awhile for design and mould makeing and such. I would like one for mine!

If the gas block is cast, all they would need is a new core.
If it's machined from a block, just drill and ream a smaller bore.
I'm sure he can figure it out.
