Default M&P 15 Sport...Finally

I have been looking for one locally for about 2 months, I went to the gun show and finally found one...I snatched it up and a fair price, $649. I get it Thursday, the county I live in has a 3 day wait on long guns too...anyway, looks like it's time to accessorize.

I also heard say that there was going to be a 90 day moratorium on all ammo manufacturing...anybody else hear this to ? So I picked up a 1000 rounds of PMC Bronze / 223 ammo for $320, better safe than sorry.

I have been searching for it but have found no news on a moratorium, What I have found is that ammo manufacturers are worried about what happens when the military doesnt need all the ammo that they are producing. But I will keep looking!

Hopefully they have to sell it to us for a lower cost. :-)

Sounds like speculation as a sales technique! Either way, all ammo will get sent down line some day. Never hurts to pick up a 1,000 rounds.

Congrats on your purchase, and that is a good price too. What part of Fl do you live in? I just took mine out yesterday and didn't do too bad @100yrds. Practice, practice, practice is what I need.

I think the ammo manufacturers should sell off the extra to the general public. Think about it, they would still be making money and they could keep folks working.

Thanks everybody...can't wait to shoot her. I live in the Tampa area. I did see that Shoot Straight broke out about 6 more after I bought mine...they may have some left...but who knows.

Congrats, I'm suprised you could find one. In the Raleigh NC area they are extremely scarce.

And good deal on that PMC ammo, if possible keep your brass. You might want to reload one day or sell it.

Congrats on your new Sport, I know you'll love it. I ordered one in early Feb, then found out afterwards there was an 8-12 week wait.........couldn't wait! . Canceled my order and picked up an available MP-15 81100 model, and very pleased with it.

Have a slight problem with it though......whenever I go to the range with my wife, I can't keep her from being behind the sights & trigger ........maybe I'll get her a Sport.

I found them to be very scarce in Florida also...I told myself the 1st one I saw was mine. I am searching for optic now...looking at the Aimpoint CompM4...seems like it will do everything I want it too. Any comments on this sight from current owners would be appreciated.

I had a Pan-A-V Ultradot on mine when I first got it. Great sight but was not very good past 100 yards. tried a 3-9x32wa scope was good but not as good as the 4-16x4? I have on it now. It all depends on what you are wanting to shoot and what distances.

I am moving into shooting 3 gun. I am looking for a sight system that will work best for that.
