A scope conundrum!
I have real good luck shooting with my 4-16x42 scope on my sport and am really happy with the accuracy and distance...My nephew gave me a near brand new 8-32x42 scope this morning. He said it just wouldnt work on his 10-22 (duh). Thinking about putting it on my sport, it seems all of my shots are well over 100 yards and I have never ran a scope this big. It is 16 3/4 long, the one on it right now it 14 1/2. Just wanting some opinions. Thanks

Try it.
If you like it keep it on,if not give it back.
What power do you usually shoot with? You might find the 8x min on a 42mm scope is too narrow a fov for you or you might like it.

Just looking through it, not on a rifle I am not very sure. I am having a custom 98a action rebarrel in .308 with a Krieger extra heavy SS bull barrel. The barrel is 1.125 diameter at the muzzle with almost no taper. He doesnt want it back he I gave him a brick of 22's yesterday and let him shoot the fool out of my Sport so he decided he wasnt going to use it and that I needed it. I think it would be perfect on that 308 which is mostly going to be a range gun, unless I want to hunt at 800 yards. But we have some long range competitions in the area that allow scopes in some of the categories. I was building the gun for that and this scope I think would be perfect but it sure looks cool mocked up on the Sport!! It is just real tough to focus anything under 100 yards. Oh I mostly shoot at 16 power. thinking about stepping up to 24 power.

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices
Has anyone ever tried this charging handle latch and if so what did you think of it? Also I found a muzzle break/ compensator that is 5 1/2 inches long that looks pretty cool. Does anyone run an extended muzzle device and what do you think: the one I am looking at is below:

You failed to mention the brand name of the scope.

Obeyed, I've never seen either of those products.
That latch is definitely different.

Those latches are awesome for one handed failure to fire/jam remediation as well. The only draw back is the big ones dig into you something fierce though with the rifle slung for a long time.
As for your scope issue, I wouldnt classify it as a conundrum but as a blessing.
You could always be real hardcore and roll with both on at the same time. Get some 45 degree offset mounts!

I had never heard of the scope it is a Buckridge Horizon, made by Optronics out of Muskogee, Oklahoma. If you look at the way I have my Sport set up, I dont have it on a sling very often. With a 20 round mag right now it weighs 10.4 lbs.
But I liked the Charging Handle Latch and the extra long muzzle brake:

I agree. I am putting a carry handle with scope adapter on mine to be able to use both and as a added bonus . it then places the scope above the from sight assembly.
