Installed my JP Enterprises trigger
Actually, I still have to fit the safety. And I don't want to get too excited until I've given it a good live fire testing. But at this point, it went from a 1 to a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10. I am very particular about my triggers. A lot of people would likely give it a 10 right now. Anyhow, it now is boarderline spectacular. I went with the heavier hammer spring. And while I haven't checked the pull, I would guess it to be around 4.5 lbs. That is about what I wanted. It may be the best $110 I've spent in awhile. I have a feeling my 15-22 is gonna want one too.

Very Nice I was looking at some JP Enterprises stuff last night, including a QPQ (another name for Melonite) Treated Bolt carrier. Was wondering about their quality and lo and behold here you are installing one of the things I was looking at!

It's very doable with a little mechanical inclination. I watched the video about a half dozen times until I felt like I understood the process. The DVD instructions come with the trigger. However, you can go and watch the video on line (they break it up into 3 videos on-line) to get an idea of what to expect. In fact, here is the link: JP Rifles You'll find the videos about half way down the page. That's what I'd recommend before ordering.
Tools: they say you need a beltsander with 90 degree table, but I just used a diamond stone (this is to fit the disconnector). You need an appropriate sized punch to remove the pins. You'll need a solvent to degrease the set screws and new trigger. I used non-chlorinated brake cleaner. You will also need some red loctite. I actually used blue loctite on the overtravel screw as I don't worry about it moving. But I did use the red loctite on the set screw that controls the sear engagement as you don't want that moving (not even a little). They say to back the sear set screw 3/4 a turn off and not less than 1/2 turn off. I split the difference and backed it out 5/8 a turn from the point where the hammer releases. I don't know what you level of understanding is when it comes to AR triggers, but all of this will make a lot more sense once you watch the video a time or two. Personally, I understand the AR trigger a lot better now that I've installed this trigger.
Oneyeopn: The barrel on your Sport may not melt down, but I'm not so sure about your creditcard.

I just finished it up. The factory trigger broke at just a hair under 6 lbs. I had no big issue with the weight, it was the creep that drove me nuts. NOW, the trigger breaks at 3 lbs 14 oz, using the heavier of the two hammer springs provided. For my purposes that is nearly perfect.

Did a little live fire today. I had no issues with the trigger. I only shot about 40-50 rounds, but everything worked great. Fiocchi 50 gr v-max averaged under 1" at 100 yds.
