Normally, I can't stand Nutnfancy. This review, I didn't mind so much.

Funny. The 15-Sport's been out for a while now, and he just gets around to reviewing it now. Methinks that general opinion of the 15-Sport is finally swinging to the positive.

Ladies & Gents, get ready to give the new converts a "Told ya so!".

Lol... who's going to be the one to tell the TNP-er's that Melonite is a metal treatment and not the barrel's exterior finish?

Yup. He make some assumptions about the 15-Sport's construction based upon price. I read through the comments, and someone corrected him.

Also he has had the rifle for better than 6 months and waited till now, when the other forums are starting not to look down their noses at what we know to be the best value in an AR to post a review. things that make you go hmmmmmm?

He took his time with the review but I really don't mind that, you can see him going through the seasons with it. It's a comprehensive and long review and that is generally why people watch his stuff.

I don't really get why so many are bashing the guy. People are bashing him because he didn't get the review done earlier? What are you his employer? As I see it he's one of the better internet gun reviewers. I love Jeff Quinn at gunblast.com, but I can find fault with him too. He never met a gun he didn't love. Now Nutnfancy can be a little long winded. But I figure if you don't like it, don't watch. Personally, I appreciate his efforts.

Another glowing review for the Sport. The Barrel was what pushed me to get the Sport. Both rifling and melonite. I get half inch groups @ 100 yards, from a $600 AR! Never a FTF or FTE. No failures period. A relative of mine had a top of the line Colt. But to get it up to par he still needed to throw big $$$ into it. After spending around $5000 he sold it.
Years later he came across the Sport. I recall him saying it shot just as good as his Colt, but at a fraction of the $$$. He looked puzzled and hurt. All that money spent just to get the Colt to where the Sport started.

So am I saying the Sport is the "end all" AR? No. But S&W spent their dollars wisely on the Sport. Barrel is first rate, fit is excellent (No play), Over-sized integrated trigger guard. The Important things that make the weapon reliable, durable and accurate are all there.

Too many people buy an AR for the bells and whistles and then have to upgrade pretty much the entire gun to get it to perform as it should. The Sport forgoes most of the fancy pieces, but at its' core it is a well thought out AR that you can count on.

In a nutshell the Sport is a high value "Work Rifle", not a "safe queen".

Default Nutnfancy

I liked the review.

I've been shooting mine with a carry handle with A2 iron sights and although I can't get the groups he did, it gongs a steel plate at 200 yards pretty regular.

I agree with Nut about keeping it simple. I'm not doing another thing to the gun. I'll save the money I could spend on accessories and buy more rounds to shoot!

Ok I see the error in my ways, it was a good review and it only took me a while to watch it with our poor internet connection out here in the sticks.

The reason his reviews are 6 months to a year later after a review is because he tests them for that long, unlike alot of reviewers that review upon release building the hype of the gun. He tested the sport for a long time before releasing his review. His reviews are too long winded but I like that he tests stuff pretty extensively.

I watched the vid (first vid I've seen from him) and even though it may not be all that informative to a sport owner, I really like his attitude towards the gun. There's still plenty of people who look down on Sport owners in the AR community and for him to stick his neck out there and give it such a great review was just another step in the right direction as far as I'm concerned. All in all I really liked his review.

Although Nutnfancy's video review can be a bit long, I keep coming back to watch more. He puts together well organized, informative, and accurate reviews on knives, guns and gear. Some of the best I've seen out there.

It's funny how some will try to discount him or his reviews, yet we never see them spend the time and effort to do it better...

He's just doing his thing and having fun at it. It's a relatively free country (still). He's certainly no worse than the pompous gun rags and more entertaining.

I was thinking about a 15-22 about a year ago and after watching him have a ball with it I bought one with the same optic he was running. It's been a great little gun.

Nobody's required to watch him.

I enjoyed the review and I'm sold on the M&P15 Sport. Picking one up today.
