Is the Sport shortage over?
There's a number on them on GB and none have bids. Several are at pretty fair prices. One was $649, but with free shipping. Anyhow, I know a few around here were looking so I thought I'd mention it.

I've got a purchase on one pending in Maryland. Went to a LGS and put $400 down and filled out my paperwork. Two more weeks and it's mine. Total cost: $669. I'm freaking STOKED about it too!

I think there is an overall shortage of everything "AR". The same thing happened in 08. Its the "election year fear hoarding syndrome". My LGS had to hire extra counter people just to handle the flow of traffic in his shop.

Every time I go into my local gun shop or the range down the street, it's packed.

You specifically asked Sport, and I would say no, the shortage is not over. It is such a great gun for its price point. All I can say is that most LGS's here don't get them very often and they sell very quickly if they do. I agree, it is the election year rush again. Hey, that is why I got my Sport last week.

That and it's the same price as a mini 14 Heck-I remember buying my mini 14 at Wally for $399 years back.
The mini 14 is one of , if not the best $3-400 semi automatics 5.56 around. Their price point is just a bit off right now
