Anyone have any experience with the B.A.D lever on their M&P Sport?

Have it on mine...love it.
If I took it off, I'd really feel like I made the gun worse. It's really the more useful

I have one on my ar also,
I was used to the conventional release and after putting the B.A.D lever on mine it really took some getting used to. Once I had used it and was accustomed to the new lever it was fantastic, it just took a bit since I also use a regular release for duty.

my BCG would not lock open after the last round. Removed it and all was good again. Not everyone has a problem with these devices though. Run your system hard to ferret out any problems. The life you may save could be your own.

Are you asking because you're assuming it works differently on a Sport than any other AR model made by S&W?

I love mine I never had an issue with it. I got a Sport. I never owned an AR before so I never got used to using the paddle, it feels awkard to me. I like the BAD lever because everything is there in one finger.

I tried one albeit briefly.
Seems to be designed for right handed shooters. I am, however, a southpaw and have a dominant left eye. When I tried using it with my left hand I was less than impressed so I sold it...

I really like mine it is just taking some getting used too. I have found that if it is too thick it will not let your bolt lock back when empty but thats an easy fix.

I hear ya Grover. It took me a little while to get used to it on a 15-22. Now that I'm used to it being there, it's become 2nd nature. I mounted them on my other AR's.
I still dry-practice using just the paddle to keep it in muscle memory. I'm not paranoid or anything, but I don't wan the B.A.D. lever to be a crutch.

Actually I've read some brands don't work well with the B.A.D lever. I ask about the sport because this the rifle I intend to put it on.

If the Sport is anything like the ORC, then it will fit perfectly. I love it on mine and would really take some getting used to not using it. Never had any issues with it not locking back on the last round.

I feel like that may have to do more with the bolt release lever than the brand of firearm. Could always change that out?
Either way, no issues on my sport

Understood....it never hurts to cover the bases the best you can before dropping $$ on something. FWIW, I run one on my M&P15 OR and it works very well. I've used it in the last two training classes (8 days worth of gunning) and it ran 100%. Since installing it, I had no problem teaching my trigger finger a "new trick". It obviously wouldn't be a great add on if you can't multi-task your trigger finger. I'm closing the gap on 60 yrs old and it was, IMO, quite easy to "master".

The Key here is Arizona trained with it. Ran it through the paces and knows his weapon system is squared away so if he needs it, it will work. My caveat about these devices is do not put it on run a 100 rnds through your system and think you are good to go. Instead, it needs to be tested under some stress to see if it performs for you. Mine did not.

If I can find one I think I'm going to get it and run it through some testing, before I keep it on full time. Thanks guys!

Well I installed the lever and it seems to work as advertised and I now have to retrain my brain to use this. After 30 years of doing it the old way it will take some getting use to.

My M&P is my first experience with an AR and I put the lever on right away. So it's really all I am used to at this point.

Hi all,
Ok so I noticed above someone mentioned they have used it on the MP1522 with no issues. Any other weekend warriors out there with experience on the Magpull B.A.D. on the MP1522?? I would love to slap one on but want to be sure it'll work nicely. I'm sure it will but just want feedback. Thx....

You may also ask in the 15-22 forum to see if anyone in there has ran it.

Field test was a "GO". All worked as advertised with no problems what so ever.
