In another forum earlier this year there was a person stating that you could reload the zinc plated steel cases. He stated that they safely could be reloaded one time. This has rolled around in my empty head for sometime. I am getting ready to reload 200 cases so I threw 8 of them in the tumbler to get them cleaned up for reloading. They cleaned up beautifully, they are silver bear cases. So I had them mixed in with 200 some odd cases and sat down to deprime and resize them in my press this afternoon. They may say that they are boxer primed but you better have a decapper the size of a sewing needle and they have the larger two holes away from the center tiny hole. They maybe boxer primed but they have the flash holes of berdan priming. I have never had a problem with berdan primed cases not igniting but have never been able to reload them. So in case someone runs across the post, you might ask the feller how he goes about decapping his cases...Just a tad bit of knowledge to spread around.:D

They are not worth messing with. If you want to reload get some quality brass cases, Lake City cases are excellent.

i have over 2000 brass cases, I mostly wanted to test the theory, just in case of an acronym situation. I didnt even get one sized. once i realized that you couldnt decap them normally I gave up and considered that myth busted LOL

I see your point of wanting to know how to do it if the situation becomes necessary.
I have found some European cases typically have small flash holes, like Hirtenberg 5.56. The decapping pin can get stuck or break when working with them. What I found works is to that a flash hole uniforming tool and open up the hole before decapping. it does work, but can be hard on the tool. For a few test cases, it should be ok.
