I just got a new M&P Sport and was going to get a few things for it. I just want to know if there is a vertical grip that will fit the stock hand guard or do I have to put a new hand guard or rail on?

ERGO Verticalend Broomhandle Grip AR-15 Fits Standard Handguard

The OEM 15-Sport handguard does not have heat shields. It was a cost cutting measure. I didn't get bent out of shape about it because the handguard is the first thing I replaced.

If you opt for a Magpul MOE, you can buy rail sections to mount to the handguard.

If you plan on mounting a bunch of stuff and want simple installation, take a look at an Omega Tactical drop in quad rail.

I think that I've seen someone on here with something like you're looking for. I can't remember who it was or who makes it though. Look at this rail that mounts on stock handgaurd. Might be an option.
