Lake City Ammo at Wal Mart
I just got back from my local Walmart. I scored a can of
XM855LC1 AC1 for $175.00. That is a can of 420 rounds of 5.56 Lake City 62 grain FMJ Green Tip on 10 round stripper clips. I've never seen this stuff there before.

Yep showing up around my area and anytime I call about it or stop by I get 100 excuses why its not there and the runaround...
Must be some walmart employees high fivin in the stock room when they score the ammo boxes.

Nice score! All we get is the Federal 100 bulk pack of .223. Not complaining though.

They were $150 last year when I bought my first can at wally world. I did get a can a few months back for the same price of $175. Not a bad price since a local gander mountain was selling the same can for $229

I bought about one a month for awhile before the stuff hit the fan last year. Averaged about $175 per can. Not anymore though

Strange, the only ammo coming into our local Walmart stores is the occasional half case of 22LR, and some shotgun shells. Our local store has not seen a centerfire rifle or pistol cartridge this year. At least that is what the sporting goods manager says. My friend that lives 50 miles up the coast reports the same, and I have been to the Walmarts So. of us and its the same story. Maybe some parts of the country are more fortunate than others.

I PURCHASED this can this morning up in NW Washington. We've had
Winchester, Tula, Federal, Remington, Independence. Lot's of different kinds. Our Walmart carries firearms and I've heard that they generally tend to get more shipments of ammo than the Walmarts that don't carry firearms.

Nice man, very nice. I'm yet to shoot the XM stuff, but I would love to just can't find it.
I do know Primary Arms is running a deal that if you buy a Daniel Defense rifle, you get 500 rounds of XM. If I can sell my two Colt Sportsters soon I'm going to hop on that.

It's the Port Angeles Walmart. We don't have ammo in stock all the time though. It's hit or miss just like everywhere else.
We don't have the guys buying it up all the time for resale. Last night we got 9mm, 40 S&W, 45 ACP and 3 or 4 different kinds of 223/5.56. I stopped back in there at about 12:30 this afternoon and they still had lot's of 223/5.56 and quite a bit of 9mm. Then I stopped down at our other sporting goods store in town and they had got in quite a bit of powder. Picked up a couple more pounds of 4064. Last week my GF and I scored 6 bricks of 22 LR. 525 round packs for $21.00 ea.

Picked up a 250 round box of Winchester .40 two days ago at Walmart south shore of Boston for $89.96. Went across the street to Dick's and they had over 50 boxes of 9mm ammo @ $14.95 for a box of 50, just sitting there, waiting for the taking. Don't shoot it, so i turned around and left.......You need to be in Walmart before 7:15 AM to score any .22LR at Walmart...Slowly coming back.......22LR might take longer.

Have to think up an excuse for a couple of ferry tickets and the gas to P.A. Counting the ferry time it's about a 4 hour trip from me and I only live a couple of miles from the Kingston ferry. Have to think about this one, thanks for the info though.

Must only be the south and east, because Walmarts in the midwest haven't seen any ammo in months.
None.

Our loads usually come in and hit the floor about 7:00 pm. I don't know about that kind of a trip though for a 3 box limit. And taking the chance of hitting a good night or one without any ammo coming in.

Not true? My Walmart in Indiana sees ammo almost every day of the week. 223 and 556 are limited to only Winchester and tulammo but we see a lot of handgun ammo

MAN! I'm living in the wrong part of the country. ..... Here in Lexington Ky it's hit or miss and I'm not going to drive all over God's half acre trying to find it! Is there a simple method to finding out when your local WW has ammo in stock? You use to be able to fill out an email request that would alert you to what stores did have stock but WW quit doing that a few months back

I thought Indiana folks considered themselves southerners.....
I'm talking midwest here. Cold, snow, ice and more snow.

I don't use emails or phone apps. I just go out there every night about 7:00 pm. They usually have the truck unloaded by then. Lots of times they don't have the ammo up front yet. you have to ask someone and they will go to the back and check it out and bring it up front. We went out there last night and we scored 6 more 225 round boxes of 22R. It does look like their reloading section is slowly starting to fill back up. They've actually had .224 reloading bullets on the shelf now for the last 3 or 4 days.

Well drifter that is all well n good if you have the time & money to drive all over town looking for ammo (that may not be there). Personally I have better things to do with my time, if I go out to get ammo I want to know that it is in STOCK! I'll take the money I save in gas & spend it on shipping for ammo I buy on line, Ammo that I know is there!
