Magpul magazine colors going away
Looks like Magpul is doing away with the color options by the end of the year for magazines. Don't know if this affects hand guards or stocks.
"With the launch of Stealth Gray across the board, we will be discontinuing Foliage Green as a color option, to be completely phased out by the end of 2014. Also, based on demand and to maintain consistency across our line of magazine products, all non-black MOE magazine color options will be discontinued by the end of 2014."

They currently sell MOE (M2) magazines and M3 AR magazines. Sounds like they are only discontinuing non-black MOE magazines.

But are the M3 magazines available in any colors? I was under the impression that those are only available in black.

I wonder if they'll be releasing anything in Baltic anytime soon.

You are correct! I didn't even think to check. Maybe they will introduce M3 mags in colors?
Anyways, the black pmags are the ones to buy; they have been shown to hold up better to use and resist cracks. (One can always paint or color the black ones and end up with a better mag than starting with a colored plastic pmag.)

Everything I have is basic black. Just thought I would pass it on for the guys who like to color coordinate their accessories.

Maybe Magpul's decision to discontinue magazine colors is due to their relocation from Colorado to Wyoming and Texas? Deal with only manufacturing one color until their production supply chain is settled?

The only non-black one I have is ATAC high-desert, and was part of an aftermarket kit (grip, stock, hand guards, trigger guard, mag).
I personally like the black...goes with anything. But I know plenty of folks who like the color match.

Could be... simplify, build up inventories so that the transition is not as noticeable to their customers.

As long as you don't use the lighter colored ones after Labor Day, I think you are ok.

agreed....I wonder also if they just produced way too many P mags during the "scare"? Every pawn shop and gun show has trash dumpster size bins full of P mags...they can't give them away!

Henry Ford shoulda owned Magpul..."You can have mags in any color you want...as long as its black."
I agree...black goes with anything.

I bought the black but once I bought the O.D. Green furniture I painted my black mags to match my furniture.
To each their own I guess.
