Most likely lighter furniture. Stock and hand guard appear to be lighter materials.

Just guessing, but I am betting that the listed weight for the Sport is from when it came with the fixed rear sight. The TS has the Magpul MBUS sights, which are lighter, plus a shorter barrel.

The TS has the 16.1" length barrel so something seems off here

and the TS must also have a lighter barrel diameter than the sport to make sense mathematically.

I was just curious if anyone knows the barrel diameter or its weight?

Go read that spec sheet again... It has a 14.5" barrel with a permanently affixed flash hider to bring it to 16" total.

"14-1/2" Barrel with 1 in 7" Twist and Fixed Vortex Flash-Hider for Overall Length of 16.1" ".

The Sport has a 16" barrel before the flash hider is added.
