I'l put this here as it seem most relevant to the AR group. Here is a really good link to a video that Jerry Miculek has put up concerning the ammo ban on AR armor piercing stuff. Great watch and super information with a little Jerry Miculek humor throw in. After the fun, Jerry really gets into the technical aspects of the different AR Rounds in question. Very informative to what's going on with the proposed ban.

Although we must remain vigilante, you are aware that the BATF has tabled the ban for the time being, aren't you?

Yes, I am. Key words being "time being", but they never do seem to stop, and there is rumor, I said rumor that there is a proposed ban on all rifle ammo. I doubt this will go anywhere, but then in 1970 I said gas would never get to a dollar a gallon too. I just thought this would be informative to us who are watchful. Information is a strong tool.

Yes but a Representative in the House has introduced a bill to ban it and some other rounds as well. The issue isn't dead, just delayed. Those who want to take the public's firearms away are throwing everything they can at the wall to see what sticks and doesn't raise a stink.

I have said this many times before you give these people one damn inch and they will with out any certainty take more than a damn foot. This will be the start of making all ammo illegal to own are sell. I myself do not trust them!!!
