Wolf Gold 223

After taking care of the family's "fun budget"...

Then go and buy ammo. :)

Same thing around here. Cindy (the wife) is better with a 40 cal (both of our EDC choice...her Glock 23 and me Glock 22) than I am and loves ongoing training and practice, and Sarah (the 15 year old daughter) is the most potentially lethal teen you know, both with an AR AND unarmed.

Ammo for birthdays, ammo for anniversaries, ammo for Christmas, ammo for the hell of it...:D

Only 10 cases (1K rounds per case) left in stock.

*******s. Just cost me 300. I still need to buy 9mm. I was going to buy a gun but then again, ammo probably rises more % than guns. Come memorial day or 4th of July i wont have any money

Keep an eye out for the ammo linked below:

CCI Blazer 9mm Luger Ammo 115 Grain Full Metal Jacket

CCI Aluminum Case 115gr FMJ. Free shipping on case orders.

If the ranges nearby did not ban the use of steel case bi-metal jacket, I'd buy cases of this:

1000 rounds - 9mm Luger 115 grain FMJ Steel case Wolf WPA Polyformance or Military Classic Ammo - Made in Russia by Barnaul | SGAmmo.com

CCI Blazer 40 S&W Ammo 180 Grain Full Metal Jacket

^ Good stuff. Great for practice. The only downside is non-reloadable aluminum cases, but not a big deal for me. I don't load .40. I don't want to go through the additional hassle of pushing .40 brass shot from my Glock 22 through a bulge buster.

And to get back on track...

Opening a case makes me feel like a kid on Christmas morning.

That figures to $340.00/1000.
Here's what I use. Its the same specs as Cindy and my carry ammo...165 gr Speer Gold Dots...and cheaper to boot:
1000 round case - 40 cal CCI Blazer Brass case 165 grain FMJ Ammo 5210 | SGAmmo.com

Looks great, my box shipped so I should be staring at the same thing tomorrow.

Great price if you shoot steel case, I personally shoot brass only in my ARs.

How is that normally 520$? And isnt the 300 free shipping better deal?

I ordered a case of Wolf Gold yesterday around 10:00 am from SGAMMO and it was at my door today when I got home. Now that was some fast service! I have bought from them before and have always been pleased. I am anxious to try the wolf gold and have read many good reviews on it. My sport will eat steel case just fine, but I prefer to feed it brass and use steel case in my commie weapon.

The Armory = $299.99 shipped
SGAmmo = $315.90 shipped
TargetSports = $319.50 shipped

That's a price difference range of $19.81 (0.00198¢ per round).
wait, its a differnce of 1.5 to 1.9 cents/round which is enough to stop me. Its not .0019 its .19 or .15 right?

i pickdd up from the armory 1k. Still need to buy some 9mm and more 7.62 and 5.56...thinking about buying another case of 5.56. I just feel.like memorial day will have bigger sales

Anyone get a stuck case yet under fast firing? I had some cheaper bearnuls (Can't remember spelling) but the neck was sealed. The stuff caked in my chamber and made cases get stuck so horribly a cleaning rod and BFH were the only ways to remove the brass.

Nope. My math is wrong. I was splitting my attention between typing and yelling at the TV during the Chicago Blackhawks v Nashville Predators game...and a fermented carbonated barley based beverage.

At the highest the difference is 2¢ (rounded up) per round.

You're right. Memorial day sales are around the corner and promotional sales might occur.

Wolf Gold (brass case, not steel) under 26 a round at at least one major supplier.

It is Taiwanese M193 military loadings, not eastern euro 223 steel stuff.

Nope. I've have not had any issues with Wolf Gold. Polymer coated or zinc plated steel case .223 ammo isn't problematic either.

Did the Barnul ammo you used look like this?

If so, then this particular type of Barnul ammo is steel case, bi-metal jacket, lacquer coated ammo. The lacquer coating on the case melted, gumming up your chamber. It's not the projectile sealant inside the neck of the cartridge causing you the issue.

Under $.26 a round? Care to share which "major supplier"?

The SG stuff comes in at $.316 a round.

Thanks.
