I can believe that. For an "upgraded" gun both those parts on the S&W 15T are pretty basic. I assume they use the same parts across all models, except for the VTAC, in order to create economy of scale.

the only rifling twist is 1/12 was good enough for us in the 1960's and is the best for 55 grain slugs and works great in my A1's

I too wish S&W would add those features to the M&P15T. I'll go one farther and say they should also put BCM GunFighter charging handles on the M&P15T.
I added all three upgrades to both my M&P15T and my Sport 1. I was getting gas blowback in my face from the stock charging handle.

Those features equal higher prices... higher prices for features that not everyone wants.

Bingo! Thank you.
Keep price down and add what you prefer later. We all don't like the same accessories.

Which is why I am a huge advocate for building your own rifle or buying a complete OEM style rifle and adding the stock and hand guards of your choice. That way you are moot paying for parts that you don't use.

half the fun is applying our own personal "Gucci" to our guns.....
Prolly they should offer the rifles with NO furniture at all!! Then we won't all have a box of old pistol grips, stocks and hand guards!!

Some manufacturers do offer rifles like that, or at least they did last time I checked.
