Default charging handle making marks on the upper receiver

Where the charging handle strikes the upper receiver it has made marks on both sides. It possibly has deformed the metal too. I will be able to see it better tomorrow when the sun is shining. I'll take photos then. Can anyone give me a hint whether this is really bad or not?

Normal. Make sure you are keeping that lubed though, that helps. You can also get the charging handle rubbing on the castle nut sometimes too.

Normal, but the amount of running varies from gun to gun.
