attaching 2 point sling

I have a M&P 15 Sport Carbine and I want to install a Magpul MOE SL carbine handguard. I know I will have to remove the front swivel. What is the easiest way to attach a sling? I really do not want to spend $25-30 to install a surplus canvas sling.

You can attach it to the front sight post, if the rifle has one.

Magpul sells some sling mounts that attach to the hand guard.

Otherwise, on a budget, you could probably fashion a sling mount out of paracord somehow.

If you haven't purchased the hand guard yet, you could buy an alternate version that allows you to retain the sling mount.

I like the Magpul MLOK QD attachment. Not the cheapest.

Off brand ones will cost about $12. Just search online for MLOK Sling swivel.

Good choice on the MOE SL. Great hand guard.
