Check the website for all the stuff that's supposed to be included and make sure all the stuff is there, first. The first 4 steps on the dot intensity are for night vision use, only 3 & 4 are visible with the naked eye in darkness. Total of 9 actual dot intensity settings. Be sure you've got 7 that you can see with your eyes. Make sure there's no scratches on any lens, no buggered threads on the battery compartment cover and that the mount is all right.
