Default M&P15 MOE MID FDE

This is one of the S&W/Magpul rifles. I was able to pick up one NIB and before I shoot it does it have any particular value over any of the other M&P15's? I have several AR's and this was just going to be a home defense rifle but there are plenty of others out there if this has a extra value. If not to the range it shall go.

Thanks and all opinions welcome.

I can't speak to the "value" over any other M&P15. But.....I own a Magpul MID MOE rifle and it is sweet-shooting and very accurate that I will keep forever.

Thanks "imakmst". I have heard they work very well. This was new in the box for a price I could not walk away from. I am going to try and get it to the range this weekend.

I've had a M&P15 MOE Mid MAGPUL Spec for 10 yrs and I'd suggest that you do only 2 things to it.

1st, take off the long flash hider and replace it with an A2 one. It's cheap at about $10, simple to do and looks much better than the overly long one they came with.

2nd, the M&P15's trigger is a standard mil type that's mediocre at best. I swapped mine out with an Rock River Arms two stage match trigger kit. Simple to install, it will give you a great trigger at a budget price.

Optics Planet has them on sale for $90 with free shipping HERE.
