Default Anti-Walk Pins in Stock Hammer and Trigger?

Are anti-walk hammer and trigger pins really necessary in a stock M&P 15 Sport ii?

If so, should I splurge and get a brand name, like Rise Armament, at $16 each, or go generic, low-end 2 pack for $7, shipping included, on Ebay?

Also, I see two versions: one with external metal bridges on each side that connects the two pins; one without, such that each pin assembly is free-standing of the other. Is one version better than the other?

Thanks

I put the generic in one of my AR's 20 years ago. Because the original pins were "walking" out. They are still there doing their job.

Thanks. I forgot to add, which I will do right after this message, that there are two versions: one with external metal bridges on each side that connects the two pins; one without, such that each pin is free-standing of the other.

Which one do you have?

Can't believe how many brands of pins there are now; and very expensive. Based on that, I'd go with KNS. Typically factory firing mechanisms have no need for them as well as most aftermarket unless otherwise indicated.

Mine have the little "C" clips on each side.

I have a generic set in my .300blk that has a screw in each side. Loctite(blue) and hand tightened. It's been about 6 months since install and hasn't been a problem.

Unless there's a problem, anti walk pins are unnecessary, except for drop in cassette triggers, in which case if they're not included, generic with Loctite is fine.

The ones with the external bridge between them aren't any better than ordinary pins.
