Hey guys

First time posting here..

Im trying to assist a friend with upgrading her handguard on the OPTIC READY AR. Will this UTG fit?UTG PRO AR15 Super Slim M-LOK 15" Drop-in Car. Length Rail | Leapers Leapers, Inc. - Hunting/Shooting, Sporting Goods and Security Gear or are we looking at replacing the gas block too with a complete different free floating rail?

(She doesn't want carbine length Magpul handguards, unless we can install a midlength magpul with a low profile GB? If thats even possible?)

Welllllll, the optics ready S&W ARs come with a low profile gas block. However, since we don't know for sure how the optic ready hand guard is secured at the front, it's pretty much a guess on how the linked product will fit. Probably will work OK, but unknown.

Apparently, one could have saved significant $$$ by buying a Sport III.
 
Why are you linked to a HG with a fsp cutout? If as stated your gun came with the low-profile gb, then you're gtg. Any of their super slim models will work. Just make sure to get their mlok hg and not their proprietary hg. Their proprietary models use a different fastening system for accessories, etc.
 
It will work, I have this one on my Sport 2 OR. I will warn you, it does make it front heavy.
