I have a SW40VE. I never knew these were duty pistols. Mine has been very reliable. Could use some trigger work but it's OK for a defense pistol. Due to low cost (I paid $199 and Smith had a $50 rebate so $149 brand new), I would have thought it wouldn't make the ranks - so to speak.
