After I bought my SD9...
...I sold my Glock 19. Afterall, the SD9 is about the same size, has better ergonomics and costs less. I don't need the G19 anymore. Unfortunately, I have a whole drawer full of G19 magazines.
Which gave me this idea for a S&W promotion: why not offer a "trade in allowance" for Glock mags when anyone buys a new SD pistol? It's agressive, but I think S&W is taking direct aim at Glock with the SD series. What better way to "take it to the competition"?
Just kicking ideas around.

SD9
I bought the SD40 instead of the nine. I have found out most aftermarket barrel companies will make a conversion from .40 to 9mm but it wouldn't work the other way around. I hope somebody (stormlake, KKM?) makes one soon because I really would like to shoot the SD9 and see if it shoots as good as the 40 does. May I ask, what kind of groups you are getting at what distance with what ammo? I have found I can get (while standing) three inch groups (center to center) with the SD40 using the Winchester 165gn white box 40's. As far as Smith & Wesson offering a trade in for Glock magazines, nice thought, but I don't see it happening any time soon. At over $35.00 for an exta magazine, it sure would be nice!

I shoot mostly at 8" steel plates set up at 20 yards from the firing line. So I can't really say how my SD groups. I do well enough on the plates with the SD. Maybe next time out I'll shoot for groups.
Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do.
I may have to put those mags on flea bay.
