Sigma range report
Went to the range today.I took my Sigma,Ruger P85,and my S&W 686.According to my log book I now have over 2500 (2515) rounds thru my Sigma. Last month at the range I checked the trigger pull weight, which was 10.323 lbs. After shooting it today I checked it again; 9.997 lbs.It had 1800 rounds thru it last time it was checked. So,this proves the trigger is getting somewhat better the more I shoot it.

That's like $800 plus of ammo through a $300 gun....not bad, and it keeps on ticking.

The longer a person has a Sigma the more it will grow on a person. Too many people give up on the Sigma because of the trigger. The trigger will get better after enough rounds are put through it. My Sigma has never failed to fire, never jammed and never FTF. Accuracy again gets better as the shooter gets used to it. The advantage you have is you have a revolver. I actually shoot revolvers more than semi-autos so the Sigma was never a issue with me. I have not done a thing to the trigger.
Good luck,
Howard

When my son got his TN Handgun Carry Permit, I gave him my Allied Forces 9VE. Good starter gun and I know it will serve him well if he ever needs it.

I hate your math skills! Don't do that to me. I'll have a heart attack. I hopefully will be able to go the range next week and shoot my sigma and 66-2. Then I'll be able to do my 20,000 round sigma review soon. Just 100 more to go!

Wow,you have almost 20K rounds thru your Sigma? How old is your Sigma? Ever had any FTF or FTE problems?

10ish years. Zero FTF or FTE. I have fired 15+ different brands of ammo and 3 different weights. (115,124,147 grain)
I used to shoot 300-400 rounds a week when i first got it. Ammo was 5.50 per 50 and I was just dating my now (of ten years) wife. My sigma would have more though it but when ammo jumped I slowed down. The ruger single six gets the most action now a days. Fun to shoot, cheap, and my kids can shoot it.
The sigma was my first handgun. I recommend it to anyone. It sits in my night stand as my SD gun with 147 grain HP Winchester ammo.

I don't care if you get a Firearm out of a cracker jack box. If it has a S&W stamping someplace on the weapon. you can be damn sure its a quality made pistol..
I may add the above statement is true NOW. Don't know a whole lot about what was happening 10 or 15 years ago, But I remember hearing something about a company merger or something and the S&W brand putting out junk.. I just remember reading about bad policy and inferred parts.? or am I getting this confused with the Harley Davidson company when they did that merger.. Sorry it's late and im on pain pills for an impacted molar. gotta Waite till after the holidays to be seen.. <-- tooth ach face.
