How'd you get that name?
OK, I don't know how far this will go but how did you all come up with some of your user names? I find them quite interesting. As for me, Sigmas were refered to as Swocks early on because of their similarity to Glocks. I'm a Sigma guy, hence the name "Swockster". How about you?

I previously owned a Harley-Davidson Deuce. Color was black.......
Now, I have a black Road King Custom. The Deuce wasn't real comfy on longer rides.

In college we were hanging out outside, being annoyed by a fat bee. Then we started coming up with all sorts of things a "B" could stand for. It was just before class and that was the day we picked handles in ROTC. I picked Fat B and it stuck.

Beemer is a BMW motorcycle. Been riding them since about 1975.
When I first got on the internet my handle was "airhead" since the was the nickname for the air cooled BMW twins. Found out that many people thought it meant something else, so I changed it to BeemerMark.

Old name that my college buddies gave me one night after parting too hard. Rumer has it that it was the noise that I was making over the balcony. I have been using it for about 20 years. Nothing real glamerous about it.

Worked part-time in a gas station in Jersey many, many years. Day job was running a printing press at place named "PACO". They provided us with uniforms with that name over the pocket. I wore those uniforms at the gas station cause we got em cleaned free. One nite a customer asked me for directions or some such. Anyway I helped the guy out. He tipped me & said "Thanks, Paco" thinkin that was my name. My buddies happened to witness this and laughed like crazy. Since I'm dark complected, slightly built & always carried at least 2 knives, they immediately christened me "The Puerto Rican". It stuck.

It's a bit of a spoof on my last name going back over 40 years. Only a handful of people still call me that.

I had a friend, a mentor in the collecting world, who has since passed away. He used to refer to us younger guys as the "The Speedgun Boys", because in his mind all the young guys were interested in were black rifles and machine guns and we had no interest in old wood and blued steel. I liked the sound of it. Plus it fits my automotive interests as well.

During my first police career (22 years), I was the guy running around constantly reminding guys to wear their armor. When i retired I took a job as a sales rep for a body armor manufacturer and many of my customers referred to me as "the body armor guy." Back in police work these days and haven't gone to work a single day yet without it.
