Here is where im at as far as handguns I own a Keltec P11, Taurus PT145, EAA Witness full size steel frame 9mm, Sigma 9mm. I shoot the best by far with the EAA but that gun weighs a ton, with the PT145 I cant get a grip that doesnt drop the mag while im shooting, with the P11 I can barely get my finger in the trigger guard. The Sigma just feels right in every aspect. My current Sigma resides in my disaster bag so I dont want to take it out to use it as my carry. I thought long and hard and came to the decision to buy another Sigma 9mm for my daily carry, I would get the SD but I cant stand all those sharp edges on the slide they tend to grab when you go to draw at least for me.

Yep, the SW9VE is hard to beat in the price v. performance category. I highly recommend it as a BOB gun (BOB = Bug Out Bag) and even S&W made a Disaster Kit using the SW9VE. I am told it works pretty darn good as a carry gun too.

Not to play devil's advocate here, but did you know that EAA makes a Poly Witness? Same guns as your all steel witness with a polymer frame and thus much lighter in weight. I have no experience with them whatsoever but thought it was worth mentioning.

I checked out the poly version at first it weighs in at 31oz while the all steel is 33oz with only a 2oz difference Iwent with the steel. These guns are a pure joy to shoot very accurate.
