Looks great! I've always been a fan of black on black or the 'murdered out' look!

Yeah man it looks awesome. I got curious with mine awhile back and decided to paint it just so see what it would turn out like. So I took the cheap route and got a can of krylon paint and primer at Wally world. Sprayed it looked great. Re assembled it , slide it in my hostler and back out again. I was horrified to see scratches down to the bare metal. So my sigma has been disassembled on my desk for the last two weeks . Gonna get some dura coat soon though. But good job on yours

Ordered the duracoat from Brownells and had it in two days. They were the least expensive for shipping. If you watch the video's on YouTube and follow the instructions your going to have great results.

Which version of 'black' is that?
It really looks good and something that I have to seriously consider doing to mine.

Did you totally break down the slide's internals? I want so bad to dura or cera kote my pistols, just don't have the patience- the knowledge- to break down the slides. Too detailed for an antsy ol' man with bad fingers anyway. Plan on installing the Apex Spring Kit on my SD, but probably get a g'smith to do it.

It is the only one color that is offered by Brownells, it is Matte Black.

Completely disassembled the slide. It was very easy and there are a couple of video's on YouTube that explain it in great detail. I used a jewelers screw driver set and a set of punches 1/6 -1/4 that I got at walmart of all places in the tool area. And a larger screw driver. It's really not that difficult even with worn out hands I'm sure you could handle it. Patience on the other hand is on you. LOL, if you do it just follow the directions, wait the allotted time in between coats. I did 4 coats total, including the the initial dusting coat. Then wait 24 hours before you re-assemble the slide.
The apex trigger on the sd was easy as well, also YouTube videos for it. If you run into a jam, Apex customer service is amazing!
Good luck and be safe!
