Default SW9VE trigger springs...

I picked up another SW9VE, used, since I love my first one so much, and the price was hard to pass up...$175, with two 16 rd mags. Like I said...I couldn't pass up the price.

Anyway, the dipwad that I bought it from said he "performed the trigger trick" and screwed it up. After getting it home, I found that he removed the pigtail spring and outer spring, then cut the inner spring...all without polishing the block. The springs didn't come in the sale...they were probably pitched.

Anyway...where can I get replacement springs for it?

Sorry, the previous owner was a dimwit. That bites!

Certainly S&W can help you with that. Although you might consider the Apex spring kit. When I bought my SW9VE I decided I would not do "the trigger trick" like the dimwit who previously owned your gun, as the pull wasn't a problem for me. However, after having my gun for about 6 months I decided to try the Apex kit. It was a simple install...and it really did help with the pull. My accuracy went up by 50%. Anyway, just my 2 cents worth...since you have to replace the springs anyway. And congrats on the purchase...that was a great price!

Sounds like a good plan to me.

I got the block polished up nice, and added some bearing grease to lube it up...it's as smooth as my original, so I'm happy. I searched in my tool boxes and found a few different springs that will work, but nothing for the pigtail. It dry fires good, and I'll be heading out to the range tomorrow to see if it performs like it should. A free fix, if it works, is always a good fix, if it works well.

Ok...You win. I'll call S&W tomorrow and order the springs. I tried to make this work, but it didn't. I couldn't get the pin to strike the primer hard enough. I even swapped slides from one frame to the other...same issue in either frame.

I noticed that the firing pin spring feels different than my unmolested weapon. I'll ask S&W if there is a spring pack available to repair what the idiot previous owner removed/lost.
