SD9 and SD40 10 round mags
I see that S&W have available 10 round mags for both the 9 and 40 for like $41.82 each. Does anyone know of a site that has them cheaper? By the time I get 2 of each plus shipping it is going to be darn near $200. Any ideas? Little help? I don't mind 10 round mags for the range.
Thanks,
Michael

Try MidwayUSA. I bought a couple original S&W stainless steel16 round magazines there for a lot less than S&W wanted.

A person at S&W told me that they had, had some reports of the Sigma mags having feed issues at times in the SDs. I personally have not had an issue but am keeping a close track on several sites that will notify you of having an item in stock. I picked up 500 rounds of 22 ammo for $33 on Midway. I did want to pick up a few 10 round mags of each though.

Check Greg Cote LLC. I don't know if he has any 10 round magazines, but he usually has the best prices on S&W magazines.

Check out Armslist.com. There is a listing for .40 S&W Sigma mags. Used and only $10. The posting says he has 100 of them. Just type in sigma magazines.

The original Sigma F mags may have base plates too thick for the mag to seat completely, which is easily fixed by removing the baseplate and sanding the side toward the gun.

Qutside of buying 2 each 10 round SD40 and SD9 mags and probably 2 more M&P 22LR mags I will be done until I get the M&P 9mm FDE, then I got my eye on a Beretta PX4 Storm 9mm Full Size. I handled one today and liked the feel alot. Price wasn't bad either. Tried a Springfield XD-9 and it was too little for my hand and the XD-S 45 ACP, the same.

Two suggestions: 1) check out the Beretta forum...I haven't been on there for a while, but I had a PX4 SC a couple of years ago, and at that time there were a lot of complaints about the PX4 models. I never had any problems with mine, but others did and apparently Beretta's customer service leaves a lot to be desired. 2) if you can you may want to rent one and actually shoot it...some people complain about trigger slap.

Point well taken. I could not find the beretta forum. I am going to buy the M&P 9mm FDE, found one at Cabelas for $599. But still want to try the Beretta, if it fits, I will get both. Will get the 9 or the 40.

Oh yeah, it is the compact size I liked very much like the SD in feel. Don't want the full size model.
