I have an older model 40VE, ser# PBD1***, purchased in Aug. '99 that does not have the lci cutout in the barrel hood.
Every other Sigma that I've seen has the lci so I'm just wondering if this is a "normal" Sigma.
Mine also has a 9lb. trigger pull(on a RCBS gauge) that is absolutely smooth and constant.
I bought it new, it has no mods and only has around 150 rounds through it.
Any info about the lci and trigger pull that seems to be much better than usual?

I've been out of touch lately and just got around to checking the forum.
I ran into a guy yesterday that has an early model Sigma that does not have the LCI and his is all black(frame and slide)so I guess it was all the very early models that did not have the lci.
I think he must have one that started the Glock lawsuit because the trigger pull on his is even better than mine, almost no take-up I would guess about 6-8lb. and very slick all through all the travel.

I have the same gun except my slide is not black, and I think I paid way to much for it being used, but on the bright side it does shoot well. I asked the guy at the shop if he knew how old it was and he called the P.O. and the P.O. said he bought it new in 2003 and put less than 500 rounds through it which I didn't believe a word of. I'm still new to handguns and go by the live and learn rule.
