Default Apex Tac?

Hi All,

Bought the Apex Sigma spring kit a while back. Installed the striker block spring & trigger return spring.

Anyone have issues with the striker spring causing light strikes? If so, what ammo?

Thank you

I can't speak to the Sigma, but I installed both the Apex spring kit and the polymer trigger in my son's SD9VE. We've ran close to 400 rounds through the gun since the installation, and haven't had a single failure that wasn't caused by ammo, none of which were akin to a light strike.

Thank you. How do you like the trigger? I mainly shoot Glocks.

2K rounds through my SD9VE. About 1,800 rounds were with the full Apex spring kit and Apex trigger shoe. I ran the pistol dirty for a long while without cleaning it. I've run domestic and foreign produced brass case FMJ, Russian manufacture steel case bi-metal jacket, Aluminum case FMJ, and Bosnia-Herzgovenian manufacture nickel washed steel case FMJ. No light primer strikes. Pull the trigger, and the round went off.

My primary defense pistols are Glocks. The stock hinged trigger adds extra takeup and mush to the trigger pull. The standard SD9VE trigger pull is a long double action trigger pull with full out reset. It's not bad nor good. It just works. The Apex spring kit and trigger shoe make shooting the SD9VE slightly easier. The springs reduce the trigger pull weight. The Apex trigger shoe is Glock-ish. It has a nice wide almost flat face with a blade trigger safety. I had to fit the trigger shoe to my pistol. While a bit of an annoyance to do, the result is a trigger with no over-travel at all.

If you were to make ANY modification, I'd suggest the Apex Trigger first and foremost.
I still need to order another.

Yes, I had light strikes with 2 manufactures ammo after installing the Apex spring kit. Put the original striker spring back in and it worked fine on the next trip to the range. I resisted putting the Apex kit in for about 1 1/2 years

Yes I had light primer strikes, don't remember the ammo.

Put original spring back in, NO PROBLEMS.

This was with my 40 if that makes a difference ?

LOVE IT. It kinda feels like a Glock trigger, honestly. My son uses this gun to shoot steel challenge ; the first time he used it was with the stock trigger, and not only could he not hit **** because of the heavy trigger pull (he was shooting downwards), his finger was raw by the end of the day.

We installed the trigger and saw a marked improvement.

Looks like I'll get the trigger.... the current trigger weight is not bad but the pull is too long. Thanks and regards

I have an SD. Didn't have to do any alterations to the trigger to make it fit...

Went ahead and pulled the trigger... from Midway. If it makes it anything like my Glock's trigger I will be very happy.

Regards
