Default SW40VE No click no bang.

This is my bosses gun, he said he tried to disassemble for cleaning and this is what he ended up with lol. The gun does not shoot, trigger does not click when dry fired, extractor is obviously not installed. What do you make of this? Are these parts for the extractor assembly or something else?

Looks like your striker is pulled back almost all the way while its off the slide, this shouldnt be happening and i would take off the slide plate cover and see what its caught on or why thats happening. That could be the reason the sear isnt catching and releasing the strikers finger.
While i dont own a SW9ve anymore i own a SD9VE Im going off pics from this thread, it shows a comparison of both guns:

Very good eye, it just freely moves within that groove, I'd say it's safe to assume that's where the failure occurred?

Also off topic, the guy in the thread, his camera takes very good pictures lol.

Yes good camera indeed! Yes the strikers should have a considerable amount of pressure forcing it towards the barrel. My guess is the 2 springs in the cavity are inserted wrong but i may be wrong myself.

There are many good YouTube tutorials on the disassembly and reassembly of the SW40VE if you need help on your newfound mission

After watching the video raymo2u linked, I think he didn't put the the extractor back in. I would disassemble the slide and start over again. Checking what prevents the striker from staying under spring tension when installed.

True the striker spring may be missing or the second spring may be where the larger one should be. Where is the true strikers spring?

Sear block looks to be fully intact but i could be wrong
