Just wondering
I've posted before on a SD40VE I purchased brand new was broken right out thew box and i had to send it back for repair next day. I'm still waiting on it but i have read in other groups how S&W takes great care of the customers and sometimes sends extra perks back I was just wondering if you guys have ever sent anything in for repair and got back anything extra other than a great repaired firearm

Not with S&W but I sent in a Glock 21 for a frame swap and they sent me a completely new gun with extra mags!

Wizzap, there used to be a time that the firearms manufacturers tried to compensate the inconvenience of having an issue with their product by providing some small thing of value to the customer. In some instances, it was a decal, a hat, a T-shirt, or in some rare instances, they would include a new mag when the gun was returned.
Those days seem to be long gone. The sheer number of customers out there have made those days, for the most part, a thing of the past. In many instances, the profit that the manufacturer makes from a weapon is long gone by the time that they pay the shipping costs involved with a warranty claim.
What you should expect is to have the gun returned to you in proper working order, nothing more. I wish it were still like it used to be, but, sadly, it is not.
Be patient, the gun will come back to you, and it will work. And don't be bothered by those who offer hasty comments here. They are likely very good folks who take out the frustrations of the day by jumping on us. Learn to sift out the useful and encouraging comments, and let the others pass. Good luck to you.

I dont know about S&W, but Hi Point usually sends an extra mag when they return a gun from their repair facility.....

Just following up .... Got the email from smith and Wesson saying my pistol will be delivered in the morning I'm so happy to finally get to take it to the range hope they got it 100% I'll post back when I get it in hand let you all know how it went

They replaced the trigger group i think it just got here and feels great with snap caps
on another not they sent a 14 round mag with it...... and i didnt send them a mag so i guess they gave it to me

I'm just glad they fixed it. Free mag was nice thou wish they would have sent the S&W loli pop

I sent a Shield up, but it came home all by itself. I'd send it back, but to be honest, since I bought the SD, the Shield has kinda been stuck in the safe. I think I'll sell it.

Folks, when you see a problem poster, use the at top right of every post to report the post.
We'll handle them as needed.
It helps us greatly because handling problems early is quicker and easier than cleaning up wrecked threads.
