Problems with SD9VE
1200 rds. in a month. Trigger pin fell out.Two weeks to get new pin. Trigger pull has changed, does not seem as accurate. A little disappointed with customer service and durability of pistol in question. Open to question or opinions!

That sucks and I'm sorry to hear about your problems. I don't know how many rounds I have through my SD9VE (maybe 7000) and my SD40VE (maybe 4000) and the only issue that I had was the striker on the 9 had some galling where the plunger blocked it. It still fired every time but the pin was capable of protruding through the breech face without depressing the plunger. S&W replaced the striker with the same type and I haven't seen any issues since but I wish that they would have replaced it with one that has the same quality as the one in my M&P.
The only other issue that I had was when I installed weaker springs to lighten the trigger pull. I started to have light primer strikes so I took them out and re-installed the original ones.
I will buy S&W in the future but will stick to M&P because I am very happy with the build and quality of the materials used. Don't get me wrong, I do like these pistols, but for a hundred dollars more I will upgrade.

Is it installed correctly?
It may sound silly but make sure its not in backwards, if you haven't checked that yet. That can cause it to fall out and possibly make it feel different as well I'm sure. It's strange the pin is walking out. There are notches on the trigger pin that the trigger spring and or slide lock spring sit in. They lock that pin into position. Try working the pin back and fourth till the springs get in the grooves.

Has anyone had the problem where the slide does not lock back after last round on their SD9VE. I just shot my for the first time today and that happened every time. I also have a 5906 never had a problem like that with it.

I assume you have checked the slide-lock spring, the thin spring that holds the slide lock/lever down, and the lock mechanism itself.
Another option is to find out whether the slide is doing a full recoil, or just a bit short, but still far enough to allow a cartridge to feed.
Just am amateur here but those are what came to mind.

Check your thumb , does not take much movement to release the slide.

What happens when you rack the slide fully with an empty magazine in the weapon?
Does it stay back or simply slide forward?
How about with no magazine in the weapon, does it return to battery then?

I'll second one of the magazines being the problem.
My SD9-VE did this right out of the box too.
I numbered the mags and one of them was bad.
Sent it back to S&W and they sent me a new one have had no
issues since.

Nissan -- how did this work out? Did you get a replacement pin? Does it fit?
Like on the Glock, the pin fits loosely and is held in place by the notch or groove near the center of the pin where the loop at the end of the spring goes. Properly installed, it shouldn't walk out.
Hope it all got fixed -- let us know!

Not silly at all. Trigger pin is tapered on one end.
Earthone might be right, The trigger pins are tapered.

I thought it was held in by a notch that holds a spring.
