I won the gun delivery today!! My new SD9VE came in, and the Apex trigger came in a day early so got them both this morning.
Much more simple design with out the sear block and dual spring assembly. Only accessory I want is the extended take down lever. I can see how they are so popular.
Installed the new trigger and found I was the 1 in a 1000 that needed to file on the new trigger to make it fire properly. Only tricky part for me was getting the slide release lever hole to line up with the frame pin and hole. I did not put in the spring kit ( was going to wait for a couple hundred rounds first) and I do not think I will. Fires great and do not see any reason to put in new springs. Smooth and much shorter with a nice reset....I'm a happy camper right now.
Most of the reviews I have read have been good! SO I may end up with one sooner then later
I just hope the durability is going to be there. the SW9 models seem a bit more rugged than the inner workings of the SD9VE. So far I can not say I am sorry i did not buy have a higher priced pistol out there. NOT saying there are not a few I would like to have.
Call me crazy but I actually like the stock trigger on my SD9VE. I only like light triggers for play/practice shooting, not for defense situations which is what my SD9VE was purchased for.

I have 1000 rounds through mine with no misfeeds or misfires. I put very very cheap 9mm through mine at the range and it eats it every time. There are plenty of other people who have many more rounds through their's and no problems.
