SW40F mag compatibility

It looks like the SW40F mag will fit in an SD40VE (it did in mine) but I wanted to double check and ask with the folks in here if it's "truly" compatible. I'm willing to accept "they're both Sigma series, so, yeah," but I figure I'd ask rather than merely assume. You know how assumptions go.

Don't know about the 40's but for the 9mm I have seen a comment on the S&W website saying "Also fits . . . "

Have a look there and it may say some similar about the 40's.
