Have owned a SW9Ve for 10+ years. The trigger isn't nearly as bad as everyone claims once you get used to it and you can easily improve it if you like. Parts are readily available. Mine has been flawless. I personally like the stainless finish on the SW9VE better than the SD. They are virtually the same size - mine fits holsters for the SDs and/or the M&Ps They take the same magazine. If you plan to run a light or a laser, the SD has a normal/common rail. The SW requires an adapter to do that. SW no longer makes the SW9VE, but as I said parts are easily available. Either one would be a good choice in my opinion.
