945 made in China
I saw this 945 for sale on gunbroker, and the label on the box shows it was made in China. Did they make any Smith & Wesson in China.

S&W pistols and revolvers are all made in the United States of America. The sticker that you notice may possibly be from the aluminum case. But the pistol is made in America. Sincerely. brucev.

My 952 came with the same type case. I had to call S&W because the locks would not work. They sent me another in exchange. Both cases were made in China.

I have a Shorty 40 with similar type of case. One latch is busted due to cheap pot metal used. Another example of fine Chinese crapsmanship.
Side note: I recently shopped for air compressors and insisted on getting one made in USA. New Crafstman ones seem to be made in China so I bought one a few years old that said made in USA on the tank. The regulator had a leak which was the only problem. That regulator was made in Taiwan.

Make sure you don't put it in your mouth, it's probably made of lead.

Yeah... the cheesiness of the new cases blew me away with just how bad they are. You go out and spend major bucks for a PC firearm and it comes with a complete piece of junk bearing the vaunted PC logo.
One of the latches on the most recent case I got with a gun lasted all of 5 minutes.
When I changed the combo and then tested it... when I slid the release, and latch flipped open, it broke off it's mooring.
The case that I got almost a decade ago with my first PC guns is still going strong.
Hey... in that 2nd photo in the GB auction, is it just me or does that look like bare metal showing under the rear of trigger guard like it's had a relief cut that was added after the fact?
