S&W 10mm's are simply the best there are. They are all very reliable. Personally I prefer the slide mounted decocking lever ( ie 1006, 1066 )as opposed to the frame mounted ones ( ie 1026, 1076 ). As for accuracy they are all well within acceptable groups for a combat pistol. Mine have no trouble grouping 8 inches at 50 yards with a two handed grip and FMJ ammo. I have never tested one from a vise but I have been told they can be very tight with hand loaded rounds. Recoil from a 5in 10mm in stainless steel is a lot like a .45auto in an alloy frame gun. It's very managable for a big guy like me. Good luck in finding one or two for yourself.
Not one you listed, but I love my 10mm. It is one of 1600 made. Its is one of the rarest of the Smith 10mm's, next to the full size 1046 (500 made I think). I found it in a small gun shop sometime ago. It is one of my favorites! S&W 1086...
My 1006 is a great woods gun and my 1066 is just light enough to be tolerable for CCW carry otherwise its the 10MMI open carry . I've never had and malfunctions with either whether using factory or my own reloads . I've never had any problem getting center of mass hits with either out to 50 yards , I'm not one of those kind of shooter that spends alot of time trying to get bulleyes all the time so I could really give you an idea of the group size they will shoot (BUT hitting a 6X9 steel plate at 50 yards is ridiculously easy with either) . You'll probably have no trouble finding a 1006 0r 1066 since a few of them have suddenly appeared on the market recently .
I recently upgraded from a 4006 to a 1006 and am not looking back! Recoil is extremely manageable and it rides in a Don Hume holster when I'm out looking for piggies.
