PPC9
I bought a new PPC9-6" from S&W a few years ago. I can't find the small envelope with the fired brass sample and am not even sure the pistol came with one.
Rather than keep looking for it, I'd like to make sure S&W included one with the gun. Since this gun is a LEO-only, maybe S&W saw no need to include the brass.
Maybe I'll just call S&W............

If it came with one, there is usually an FC somewhere on the box end label.

Post your serial so someone can give you a date of manufacture.
Guns before March of '01 were'nt required to have the FC.

The lid of the case is glued in so I pressed on every square inch of the foam and can't feel anything. The bottom foam comes out and nothing under there. I have a lot of drawers and boxes to check............
BTW, this pistol came from the factory with two 10-round magazines, not the 15-round I expected. I was there when the FFL opened the box from S&W so I know no one switched magazines.

I purchased 2 of the PPC9 pistols direct from S&W and both came with 10 round magazines. This was after the hi cap ban expired. I inquired with Smith and was told that the PPC9 only ships with 10 round magazines. I complained and was sent 15 rounders and was told just to keep the 10 rounders.

Interesting. I should've complained. Too late now, I guess.
BTW, did your pistols come with the sample fired case?

Mine came with 15 rounders, before the ban was lifted. I even reside in CA., L.E. is exempt anyway. I think they just ship with what they have in stock at the time. What is the importance of that fired case anyway? I always just throw them in with my fired brass.

Your FFL must have taken it and shipped it to the necessary. Here in NY it goes to the State Police. I would ask my FFL first. Overall I don't think its anything to be concerned about. Its not the purchasers responsibility to send it in.

I received 3 15 rounders when I got mine. I ended up buying a half dozen 10 rounders since I only load up six at a time for PPC

Congrats. I remember getting 15 rounders with the PPC and ten rounders with the IDPA version; go figure.
Here's a pic
