Default S&W 45ACP de-cocker

Does anyone know the model number of the S&W 45 with the de-cocker. I don't mean the 4576,but the one that had the slide mounted de-cocker that looked like the de-cocker/with the firing pin block. The lever was spring loaded and returned to the firing position when it was pushed down.

It will still be listed the same as safety/decocker models. There was no special number for decocker only guns. Most of the TSW series can be easily converted and many of the PC 4500 guns were shipped that way to start with.

Some will have the warning on the slide-Firearm capable of firing with magazine removed. Also, the dots on the side of the slide will have no color.

4516 is the compact version, with slide mounted de-cocker. There is also the 4567 that has a slide mounted decocker.

I know S&W made several decock-only guns on order for Police Departments (and maybe distributors). I believe they had the same model designations as the Decock/Safety models only no safety. The looked the same as the standard model too, only after you decocked the slide lever just sprung up to the fire position. The only one I have ever seen was a 4006 decock only, can't remember what PD it came from.

The de-cocker only models will also have a warning on the right side of the slide, that says "Caution De-Cocking Lever Automatically Returns to the Ready to Fire Position."

+1 sniper IIRC. unpainted dots and "lever automatically returns to the ready to fire position" on slide.
