4013 single stack?
Interested in the specs on the 4013 single stack models. Held a 4013TSW double stack yesterday and the guy behind the counter said that the single stack was slimmer and perhaps built on the 3913 frame but harder to find. Anyone have any info on the 4013 single stacks?

i think the single stack 4013 was on the 4516 frame dimensions.
I think the 4040 was on a 3913 dimension frame.
guess on my part.

Yes. The 4013 in the same frame dimensions as the 4516/4513. I just picked up a 4013 that was used by my local PD and it is a nice gun.

I had one of the single stack 4013's. I regret selling it, but some guns had to go to feed the divorce attorney.
Mine was VERY accurate, and as usual with 3rd generation S&W's 100% reliable.
As previously mentioned it is based on the 4516 frame. The 4013 fit all my 4516 leather.....and was much easier to carry than my 4516 due to its lighter weight. Regards 18DAI.

The single stack 4013's are a little harder to find then the double stack TSW models. The double stack TSW's were based on the 69XX series and can use the full size 4006 magazine. I would actually prefer the single stack as I have discovered carrying a single stack pistol concealled is more comfortable. However, magazines for an early production 4013 will be harder to find. As long as this doesn't bother you (I know it doesn't bother me for my 4040) it is a great gun. The single stack 4013 is on my list of guns I want, but so are several others (S&W makes too many nice guns, at least enough that I don't have enough money for all of the ones I want).

FirebirdV8...good point about the difficulty of finding single stack magazines. I will have to do a search to see what the availability might be.

Yes single stack mags...they are hard to find. I could use 2 or 3 of them IF I could find them. Midway said they are discontinued. All or most other sites are on backorder. If anyone knows where some can be had, let me know.

Double. I have the 4013TSW and it has a double stack magazine as well as the Light Rail.
