Default CS9 owners - question for ya.

Can you safely cock the hammer back in order to fire the first shot in SA mode? Not talking about under defensive stress conditions, but like while walking along a trail and cocking it in order to pick off a varmint or something.

the only way I know to safely cock the hammer on a CS9 with a factory bobbed hammer, is to work the slide.

of course you would put a live round on the ground.

dry fire practice to get that first round shot placement

or send to SW for install and fitting of a spurred hammer (if they are interchangeable)

There are threads on here about installing a spurred hammer on the CS9, if you search for them. It kind of breaks up the clean, no-snag lines, though.
