I've been following the weirdest thing(well maybe not ) on GB. Seller has been trying to get rid of a 3913LS for a couple weeks now. He started off at $580, and after not selling at that price, he upped it to $700 . Still no buyers, but he has since lowered the price to 650.
I know, a sucker born every day. He probably figured "what the heck, shoot for the moon".

There has been one that I had been watching like that is like that. Since there have never been any bids, I was waiting for them to lower it but it keeps getting relisted higher, then lower, then even higher yet.

It could be the same seller...

Maybe they're just using the auction sites as a place to host pictures of their collection.

Sometimes when you're fishing you have to change lures and wait for the right fish to swim by. Some will go for the little lures and some will jump on the big ones. (Wow, I managed to use a fishing analogy on the S&W forum and I don't even like fishing.) Anyway I have seen people do this before, and sometimes it even works.
